Keeping It Peel

For those who don't know...and if you don't be very ashamed...today is
John Peel Day...a day dedicated to the great man who sadly died around this time last year. In honour of the anniversary of the last Peel show.
So for those who give the slightest toss about music...you should be listening to Radio 1 at the moment. It's a trawl through all the music Peel championed over the many years he was on radio from blue eyed soul through to hard house.

There's something for everyone being played...and although some of the songs are not what I would particularly chose to listen to, the sheer variety is making it one hell of a very enjoyable show.
So for those with a radio I urge you to listen to Radio 1. For those further afield...go to the Radio 1 website to listen in...and enjoy.
So far you've missed....Status Quo, The Strokes, Vitalic, Bloc Party, The Smiths, DJ Chaos, Radiohead, Nirvana, The Specials...tune in now people!

John Peel....a legend sorely missed

As much as I respect and miss the guy, I thought the Radio 1 coverage sounded exactly like it did a year ago - anyone would think he'd just died. Still, any excuse to celebrate new music and play Teenage Kicks and the like on the radio...
